Gorse removal Lenah Valley Sites

Tuesday 1 Jul 08

A less than ideal forecast was current and as we arrived for the start of work rain was falling. However a chink of blue showed through and soon we were able to remove raincoats.

The remaining Gorse leftover from earlier working bees at the border of the park was targeted and much of it removed. Some bushes on the boundary that had been cut-off some time in past but presumably without herbicide being applied and now had masses of small shoots.

A further working bee should see the primary work done in this section, including a small pocket of Broom that was located.
